How do I pay for the class?
NTX CPR accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. You can also pay online through Pay Pal on our website. We will accept personal checks – there will be an additional $25 fee for any returned check or NSF.
Do your courses follow the new 2010 AHA guidelines?
Yes, all instructors have been trained in the new 2010 AHA guidelines an have the new 2010 training curriculum that was issued in Q1 2011.
How long will the course take?
It depends on the course that you select. We take as long as it takes for everyone to master the material. We follow AHA guidelines in all classes.
What should I wear?
The course is very hands on so we recommend that you wear comfortable clothes you can move around in. We also recommend that women do not wear deep V cut shirts and if you have long hair we advise you pull it back.
Will there be a test?
There is no longer a test for the lay person, but a skills check to ensure you have mastered the curriculum. There is a test for healthcare providers and a skills check.
Will I have to share a manikin?
No, every participant will have their own manikin. This will allow you more hands on time to develop your CPR skills.
What if I have never taken CPR before?
You do not need to have any prior knowledge of CPR to attend a class. We applaud you for taking the initiative to learn educate yourself. We will teach you everything you need to know.
What if I need to cancel a class?
Call us as soon as you know you will not be able to attend. While we understand your situation we do not offer refunds as we schedule classes based around your scheduled time. We will offer you a credit towards a future class, though.
Do I receive something that says I am certified?
Yes, at the end of the course you will receive a certification card showing your completion of the course. Your certification is good for two (2) years; after which will will need to be renewed.
What if I forget what you taught me before my card expires?
Give us a call. You are more than welcome to sit in on any class one you have taken a certification course with NTX CPR. Our primary goal is that you learn the skills needed to master CPR. If you feel you need to go through class again to ensure you are ready should an emergency occur, do not hesitate to give us a call.
What if I lose my card?
Replacement cards are available for $10.00. Give us the date/month of the class you took and we will issue you a replacement card.
Why do I need to get re-certified after 2 years?
CPR protocols change periodically and to ensure you have the most current skills necessary to provide the greatest chance of survival it is required that you renew your certification every two (2) years.
Do we come to your location?
For individuals we do training at our Frisco, TX location. However, for businesses and organizations we will gladly meet you at your location. A minimum of 4 students is required for NTX CPR to come to your facilities.
Can you train employees and staff onsite at our corporate office?
For larger groups we have the ability to come to your location and train onsite. We strive to meet the needs of our customers and make our training as fluid with their schedule as possible.
